![]() I'd expect this setting to be available on any good NAS/Server solution. ![]() If it is a Syno DS one of the most useful tweaks is to change the default Server advertisement interval to three minutes or less (think it's over 12 mins default). I sometimes use the Connect App from time to time & would agree it to be a little clunky, but haven't experienced the slow load up & access times you seem to be experiencing. I do use Bubble still with my Stream Magic 6 & find the user experience pretty slick. I have a not too dissimilar size of library which is well tagged & organised & browse/select playlists using the folder structure layout, having four main folders with everything in Artist folders other than compilations being in Various Artist folders. UPnP is a completely different ball game to LMS, with which you can get away with a certain latitude & sloppiness in library structure. The free version of Bubble is lacking a lot of functionality.including most of the tweaks necessary to get everything running toot sweet, from my memory of installing it several years back. Have you installed & activated a UPnP media server on your NAS? Or are you pointing the new Cambridge renderer at your existing LMS server on the NAS? There could be a few things/poss conflicts going on here if this a first time set up moving from SBT/LMS to a UPnP server/renderer setup. I'd be very thankful if anyone had any advice. The software used o browse the music collection with all my Logitech Squeeze devices is a dream compared to the CA connect App. Perhaps I am doing something daft or failing to setup the NAS correctly but I assumed this player would be a step up in performance from my old SBT. I'm completely unimpressed with this to the point where it may have to be returned in favour of a different solution. If you give up with the app and try to navigate the music collection from the CXN unit this is even slower. To choose a new album folder you have to scroll from the top of your collection (4000 albums for me) rather than skip from say alphabetical section to section.Albums and individual tracks take an age to load.It re loads all folders from scratch if you wish to chose a new track or album. It can take a couple of minutes to load up and see any music folders. The Cambridge Audio Connect App for my Android devices is slow and clunky. Browsing this music and actually selecting albums or tracks to listen to is a complete woe however Connection and setup were no problem and the CXN can see all the music stored on my NAS. Arrived yesterday and set it up in my system looking forward to revisiting my digital collection. Last year I managed to blow up my SBT so I took the plunge and bought a CA CXN this week. ![]() It's just one of these things that keep nagging, it should work but it isn't.Just wondering if anyone has any advice. Again, the Pioneer does not display art work for the very same file if it is streamed from Mezzmo.įor me, it's not a dealbreaker as the screen on the Pioneer is too small anyway, so I thought I should simply report it. If I add album art manually using Mp3Tag, the file not only is listed as having embedded art work, but using Asset UPnP the art work is displayed on my Pioneer. I know this to be a fact as Mp3Tag does not list a cover for the files processed by Mezzmo. The problem seems to be that the picture, when added in Mezzmo, is not embedded in the flac file. I'm not using it for video, so I can't verify if it's a problem with music files only. There's one thing though that Mezzmo can't persuade my Pioneer to do, and that's display album art for music files (most are flac, but mp3 does not work either). I've tested a number of DNLA-servers and Mezzmo wins hands down so I purchased a licence. I'm using a Pioneer N50 network media player, with Mezzmo as my DNLA server on a Windows 7 64 computer.
